Reserves are books, articles, and other items which are required materials for coursework. These items are located behind the Library's Circulation desk, have shortened loan periods, and incur hourly fines.
Search course reserves by:
- Hannon Library materials placed on reserve by SOU faculty for assigned class readings
- Some SOU class textbooks provided by the campus Bookstore Textbook Share program
- Items from the personal collections of SOU faculty for assigned class readings (books, sample tests, maps, selected papers, journal articles, etc.)
- Special and valuable SOU materials
Faculty may place items on Reserve by filling out a reserve form and bringing the materials and the completed form to the Reserves Coordinator at the Circulation desk. Please review Reserve policies before submitting materials. Faculty can also book a video for a class.
Although the Library does not provide direct electronic reserves, we do offer a scanning service to digitize course materials for faculty to place on their Blackboard class sites. Please review Scanning Service policies.
