Our Mission

The Ashland Book and Author Festival is dedicated to the literary community of Southern Oregon, inspiring reading, writing, and creativity in all people. By bringing authors, sellers, and publishers under one roof, face to face with the public, we’re creating a new kind of literary experience for everyone to enjoy.

History

The Ashland Book and Author Festival is an annual literary event that takes place at Southern Oregon University’s Hannon Library. Created by Hannon Library and the Friends of Hannon Library, the first festival took place on June 23, 2012. Nearly 100 authors, book sellers, publishers, and artists from Southern Oregon came together for a day of discussion, collaboration, and celebration.
