- Academic Search Complete
This huge multi-disciplinary database has full-text for over 5300 journals, including over 4400 that are peer-reviewed. It also has abstracts for an additional 9300 journals. This database is a good starting point for many research projects. - JSTOR: Arts & Sciences I & II
These Collections include the complete back runs of 243 titles in several disciplines. It includes many of the core research and society published journals in economics, history, political science, sociology, archaeology, and African, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and Slavic Studies, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. This collection also includes a selection of titles in the more science-oriented fields of ecology, mathematics, and statistics. - America: History and Life
America History and Life is a citation and full-text scholarly article database in United States and Canadian history. Coverage of other countries is limited to North American involvement and perspective. AH&L also includes citations to articles in books, book reviews, media reviews, and dissertations. Follow the “Find at SOU” links to access materials through SOU, Summit (for books), or Inter-Library Loan. - Oregonian
The Oregonian database provides full-text of news, features, and letters to the editor in the Oregonian newspaper July 1987 to present. Paid advertising and syndicated materials (for example, non-Oregonian columns) are not included. The Oregonian provides extensive coverage of Southwest Washington, Oregon, and the Portland metropolitan area. It is excellent for news coverage of agriculture, electronics, forestry, and international trade (especially with Asia) in the Pacific Northwest. - LexisNexis Academic
This database has several distinct modules. Two important ones are "News" and "Legal Research." "News" has more than 350 newspapers full-text from the U.S. and around the world as well as news magazines, broadcast transcripts, etc. "Legal" has federal and state case law, federal codes and regulations, and state codes among a host of other legal materials. - Humanities and Social Science Retrospective Index
Humanities and Social Science Retrospective is a citation and full-text database recommended for finding articles and book or media reviews in scholarly journals spanning 1907-1984. Its coverage is similar to peer-reviewed materials Academic Search Premier, but for earlier decades.
