Library Updates in Response to COVID-19

Library Hours & Restrictions

Please see our library hours page to see the most recent changes in hours. The library is currently restricted to SOU students, faculty, and staff.

Social Distancing

Please maintain 6 feet from others while at the library. This includes both library staff and patrons. This will help us maintain a safe space that is in compliance with guidelines from the governor. Thank you for your cooperation.

Access to Library Resources

Many of our resources are already available online. Please consult our Guide to Remote and Distance Learning guide for more information. Some new resources will be available online that weren't in the past. If you are having trouble finding what you need, contact the librarian most closely associated with your topic areaPLEASE NOTE: Summit borrowing will resume on Monday, August 3.

Research Questions

During Research Services hours, our chat service will continue to be available. Please feel free to use our Ask a Librarian service at other hours. If you have a specific research question, try looking for the Research Guide most appropriate to your topic and contact that librarian.

We have a number of resources that can support online research, including some new resources that are temporarily available for this period. To learn more, see our Faculty Services: Support for Online Learning guide. Also, feel free to contact your liaison librarian for more information or to learn about discipline-specific resources. Librarians are also happy to set up Zoom research classes for your students.
