Request from Summit

  1. Log in to the Hannon Library Search

  2. Start your search on the Home Page under Find Books and Other Resources, and click the Summit radio button.

  3. Search for the item by title, author, or keywords.

  4. If your title shows up, and there is a yellow dot labeled Check Holdings, click on the Get It tab.

    • If your search shows up with a green dot labeled Available at Hannon Library you will not be able to request the item through Summit.

  5. Click on the Summit - Request Item link.

  6. Select your preferred Pickup/Delivery location from the drop-down menu (Hannon Library or Medford RCC)

    • If you need to pick up at either the Table Rock or Grants Pass campus, indicate that in the comment field.

  7. Click the REQUEST button.

  8. You should see a message that your request was successful.

  9. If you receive a cancellation notice, please request the item through Interlibrary Loan.

Summit Policies

  • There is no limit to the number of Summit requests; however, please do not request more items than you can use in the loan period.

  • Summit book/AV arrival time = 2-5 days.

  • Summit book loan period = 6 weeks; One 6-week renewal available

  • Summit book hold shelf period = 6 days; no extensions

  • Summit A/V loan period = 6 days; one 6-day renewal available

  • Summit A/V hold shelf period = 3 days, no extensions

  • Overdue fines are $.50 per day, per item, maximum $20.00.

  • Items are billed for replacement after 30 days overdue.

  • Replacement cost for lost or damaged items = $90.00; Non-refundable if billed for replacement and returned after the end of the fiscal year (6/30/20xx).

  • If you need a Summit item longer than the allotted loan period, return the item on time and place a new request. You are able to track the progress of your requests and loans by logging into your library account.

  • Items my be picked up and returned at Hannon Library, or Rogue Community College. Please be sure to pick up the items you request after you receive a pick up notice.

  • Items may be returned to any Summit member institution.

  • If you no longer need a requested item, you may cancel the request by logging into your library account, or contacting

  • All library related notifications are sent via e-mail.
